No wonder housing real estate is booming, making multi-family properties an attractive option for savvy investors.

Fort Lauderdale is located right on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s interlaced with 165 miles of intracoastal waterways, earning it the nickname “The Venice of America.” The city is situated between Miami, 40 miles to the south, and West Palm Beach, 40 miles to the north.

Las Olas

Las Olas Boulevard is more than a tourist destination. It’s a place for residents to explore and enjoy all the reasons they moved to Fort Lauderdale in the first place.

This picturesque street is home to art galleries, waterfront destinations and restaurants. The famous boulevard begins in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s downtown and ends at the ocean, at Las Olas Beach.

Along the way, you’ll find food as diverse as South Florida residents. Look for restaurants inspired by Cuba, Brazil, Greece, the Middle East, Mexico, Italy, Argentina, Thailand, Japan, Peru and of course, homegrown classics like burgers, barbeque and locally caught seafood. Many of the venues offer outdoor seating along the sidewalks and some even host live music.

Residents can browse local art or take an art class in an assortment of art galleries along Las Olas. The boulevard hosts the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale and an eclectic assortment of sunshine-inspired shops. Water-based adventurers can try Riverfront Gondala Tours or the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi.

Las Olas Boulevard is connected to New River on its west end. The Downtown Riverwalk District encompasses 10 parks along New River. The Riverwalk is a picturesque destination for residents to walk, take in the river and watch the boats go by.

Both areas are interlaced with some of the best multi-family homes for sale Fort Lauderdale has to offer.

Art districts

Imagine living on the top floor of a gorgeous high rise apartment. The trees along the streets are always green and the weather is almost always perfect for a run or a stroll.

Within a few blocks’ walk, you can find an array of interesting breweries, wine bars and coffee roasters. The shops include boutiques and pottery studios as well as yoga and wellness centers.

Outside your balcony, on a warm Saturday night, art exhibits pop up along the streets. Artisans from around South Florida and beyond show off their handcrafted wares, delicious food items and eclectic discoveries. The streets are filled with excitement and discoveries waiting to unfold.

Welcome to the cultural hub of Fort Lauderdale. For those who want to be near the arts as they happen, FATVillage (Flagler  + Arts + Technology) or the MASS District is the place to live.

Near both districts are stunning apartment complexes and other great multi-family homes Fort Lauderdale has to offer.

Looking for a property in these art districts? The MASS District is south of Sunrise Boulevard (thus the name: Music & Arts South of Sunrise), between I-95 and Holiday Park. FATVillage is smaller enclave within that district, between 4th and 6th streets.

The Beaches

Fort Lauderdale has miles of stunning beaches just blocks away from its urban core. The challenge will be to find a perfect beach spot to call your own.

If you don’t live within walking distance of the beach, you’ll have to scout for somewhere to park

Of course, there are plenty of multi-family homes in Fort Lauderdale, right along the beaches…
